I'm not saying that the USGS is writing fluffy reports. I do mining research professionally, and I have plenty of experience reading data. The USGS and other govt agencies sometimes have done actual geochemical and geophysical work in many places across the country. That is not the case with this "report". It's not even a report, it's just a summary of data, mostly anecdotal.

The Mining Record serves the stock market side of the industry more than the engineering side for example.

Do you think every word of CA Bulletin 193 is absolute fact? It is a good starting reference to obtain a brief summary of Ca mining districts. Some accurate info and some way off.

I have worked on properties where the govt summary info in no way was close to the realities on the ground during actual exploration/development.

Any way this issue is getting tiresome . Can we move on from the USGS issue?
