First I never said shorting is impossible. It clearly is. I have repeatedly said the same thing. It is impossible for shorting to not get reported. There are plenty of stocks like USPR that get shorted ever day. But those short shares get reported, is all I'm saying.

If you actually looked at the link I always provide

you would notice there have been occasions were the short interest in USPR is nominal and some occasions when it's almost 100k. And if you were to look now, you'd see it is 262k as of Aug 15th. So yea people are shorting USPR.

To be fair, it may just be a matter of selling in front of liquidating debt conversions because those guys have mm's sell as they clear their certs. or it could be actual shorts. We'll see.

Hey, maybe your friend is shorting USPR which explains the 262k shares????
