it's a shame most people don't learn about the mistakes they make

Read a book a few years ago by a behavioral psychologist who specializes in the trader's/gambler's mind.

One of his main conclusions: many keep making the same mistake over and over and over again, because of the deeply flawed belief that one of these times--by sheer mathematical probability--the mistake will not be a mistake.
