Mexicos new President Enrique Peña Nieto has literally declared war on the drug cartels! This is part of Mexico’s plan to open up the country for business and international investment.
Mexico launched a special 5,000-strong police force Friday to combat industrial, farm and business crime that has extended throughout the country's economy, strangling commerce in some regions:

Old news from March 2014:
Authorities seized almost 120,000 tons of ore as well as 124 bulldozers, backhoes, milling equipment and trucks as a result of Monday's raid on at the Pacific coast seaport of Lazaro Cardenas.
Note that this is in a different port and in a different state than where the Tonogold iron ore mine is located:

Mexico Cracks Down on Illegal Iron Ore Mining:
http://www.thestreet.com/story/12492322/1/mexico-cracks-down-on-illegal-iron-ore-mining.html
Mexican authorites have shut down 946 iron ore mines in three states as part of a crackdown on infiltration by crime gangs, mining leaders said. Government agencies have closed mines lacking proper paperwork as part of efforts to stamp out drug gang involvement in iron ore mining, particularly in Michoacan state, from where the Knights Templar drug cartel is thought to have illegally exported more than 1Mt/y to China via Lazaro Cardenas port for at least three years.
The vast majority of the closures have been in Michoacan (854), with 72 in Colima and 20 in Guerrero states, which border Michoacan, …
Note that none of these closures are mentioned in the Mexican State of Sonora or at the port of Guaymas where the TNGLD iron ore mine is located and were we are shipping our iron ore. That is because the cartels were never a problem in Sonara mining.
