That is one of those potential Bavituximab markets.

When I said that PPHM should have many smaller partnerships based on geography, pipeline, conditions etc I forgot that SK, at the Annual Meeting MINGLING :), said that it would be very difficult (nearly impossible) to partner Bavi per condition (Breast, Lung, etc).

The reason is that the med.reps of the potential partners actually visit the same oncologists and if they all offer Bavi in the mix they must still compete at the SOC level (or at least at the downstream component of it if Bavi is part of the SOC)?

So you would have, say, Sanofi and BMS both offer Bavi + (downstream drug), the one for Lung the other for Breast while both have products for both conditions and would have to break down there competitors drug (SOC) which then may, and very probably will, contain Bavi.

So at a higher level, between full pipeline which is to high and condition specific which is to low, one could partner geographically and FIELD based.

- Oncology Chemo
- Oncology Radio
- Oncology Immuno
- Viral
- Post/Pre surgery
- Inflamations & infections
- Interferon replacement
- Imaging
- Vaccine
- Alzheimer... one day
- Animal
- Sports additive
- Food supplements
- etc

Divide the world in area's and find the BP's or smaller partners that are strong and/or specialized leaders in those areas and make partnerships at that scale. It lowers the risk of dependency on one big partnership, on one discipline and eliminates to problem of 'condition to treat'.

Furthermore you achieve a "Pax-BP" as non really gets control over Bavi and they can all compete at the "downstream" level.

With the BI partnership that Avid already has, PPHM could real quick tune world-wide production and with local production batches save on transport, admin, time-to-customer and own in-house back-up and contingency cost. All members in that BI network are top notch and controlled production facilities.

Then of course, with what happened with the sabotage of the NSCLC trial I could imagine that PPHM would want it's production of Bavi under control.

Peregrine Pharmaceuticals the Microsoft of Biotechnology! All In My Opinion. I am not advising anything, nor accusing anyone.
