I suggest you keep up with the nightly news. The two previously infected Americans were released from the hospital with great fanfare.

Presumably they didn't take any bloody sheets with them into the general public.

As I pointed out previously, the immune system can take care of Ebola if it is given enough time to work. Part of the mechanism Ebola uses to infect people is to interfere with the immune system's early response allowing it to gain a substantial advantage. That buys the virus time to replicate and overwhelm the infected person.

If the infected person is not overwhelmed, their immune system will clear the virus from the body.

Nothing was said about how long the virus can survive outside the body in secreted bodily fluids.
