Dr David Tovey, Editor-in-Chief, Cochrane, said: “We now have the most robust, comprehensive review on neuraminidase inhibitors that exists. Initially thought to reduce hospitalisations and serious complications from influenza, the review highlights that Tamiflu is not proven to do this, and it also seems to lead to harmful effects that were not fully reported in the original publications. This shows the importance of ensuring that trial data are transparent and accessible.”

The US Government pumped $140 million into a company to develop Ebola vaccine. Must be sweet to know that are our tax dollars are going to juice up a company to produce a vaccine. If it is expensive and toxic, it must be good. Is that what government investment is all about? About picking winners? And if they fail? Well, that is a market failure!!! God forbid anyone imply that some group of government bureaucrats picked that loser thinking that it would be winner. Moreover, do not even think that there was some "quid pro quo" involved in picking and pumping millions, into a losing proposition!!!

When the time came to put up Mapp Pharmaceuticals drug versus Tekmira experimental vaccine, surprise, surprise! Mapp's drug was employed, not the $140+ million dollar vaccine. God knows they don't want that multimillion dollar boondogle to blow up in their faces! JMHO
