Alan, My take on the AMD 45nm news...
I think it was more of a:
"We built a 45nm SRAM"
Rather than a
"We built a 45nm SRAM, and it works"....
There is a world of difference between those two statements.
could be wrong though... we will see.

Agree. Still I don't think AMD would show a completely non functional 45nm test wafer. I guess at least some of the test SRAM is functional.
