Iamgold would also have to take apart the existing milling and processing operations and move the tailing pond. That isn't cheap or easy. Also, the fact that Iamgold is in tough financial shape the thought of taking their most profitable operation off line can't be very attractive. They won't be doing this expansion anytime soon - if ever. IMHO. Remember they just paid $650MM for a gold property. If management doesn't bring that on stream they will look like fools.
