Google's source code is copyrighed and is bounded by the copyright law, the confidential agreement among all parties (Google, Vringo, and the Court). Totally irrelevant to this "obviouness" ruling.

The the USPTO awarded Lang a patent because it is innovative and Lang's process is not "obvious". Lang's patented process is public knowledge, and any experience or skill computer progrmmer can write the software code for a searching process using Lang's patented process. And writing the code is not the hard part. The hard part is to come up with a innovative process/procedure.
