You've seen my posts a couple of times, but like Rut Roh I just mostly lurk and learn.
I'm also right there with you with a sizable loss! I made a big mistake, but like AT says, I WILL learn from it and NOT make that mistake again!!!
How's this for dumb...I always use stop limits on the larger stocks and did there too. Unfortunately, I forgot it was a MARKET stop, and I thought that when it got halted I cancelled it...not so much.
I was shocked at the drop, but not too worried since I knew I'd just have to hold it for a while to see where it recovered. WELL...the minute it resumed a "market Order" was executed...POOF! All gone at bargain basement prices...OUCH!!
Moral of the story...Don't even think of going away! We're all there with you, and you feel like a real part of this board and I enjoy your posts tremendously. No mater where you go...there's always going to be a thoughtless Asshole. At least here you know you've got other friends supporting you. I like Nitty, but even if he was drunk...THAT statement was WAAAYYY too far!
