I think MANY tend to glamorize farming weed a bit much and over think it. Probably because it's been illegal so long, peeps that do it wanna believe it requires "expertise" when in reality it's just nature doing its thing. Basically growing a plant requires the proper light, water and nutrients and the attention of providing these things by the grower. Lettuce, Tomatoes, weed whatever. After a few successful grows most should be experts.

There are plenty of reputable companies that have made it easier for you. They supply everything you need and specific instructions on how to use their products. I don't care if it's lettuce, tomatoes, weed or whatever it's not that difficult. And after a couple of attempts to grow whatever if you don't get it move on. I think most just get lazy and don't follow through giving their grow the few minutes of attention it needs and that's why they don't successfully grow good product.

As for PHOT, I think they should do something about greners. Modernize the page and be more competitive. But, look around. There are literally hundreds if not thousands of sites trying to capitalize on the growing marijuana industry. The time to get in and start building a presence was several years ago. Now the battle is among those to grow and maintain their customer base. Be more competitive than the competition. I think PHOT should think about that. Take a look at their products. See one or two you like? Look it up on ebay or Amazon. They have just about everything and the prices are cheaper.

Several years ago, I actually wanted to start an online business focused on growing indoors. I built the website and partnered with a supplier, but, before I got to the advertising stage I realized how competitive it is in that space and elected not to invest too much for advertising to see if it would work. I was not completely focused on the marijuana sector either. I wanted to sell to anyone. I have friends with a huge hydro set up in their back yard to grow organic veggies. It's very impressive and I doubt they ever even smoked weed. They taught themselves of course.

Just sayin, I think even a pot-head could figure out how to grow quality smoke, or tomatoes as long as they put the effort into properly maintaining the grow. I mean you can't drop a seed and then go play World of Warcraft 24/7 and expect to be successful.
