That was my first thought as well. However, since they have the knowledge and skill...all they need is the certification to produce the parts. Once they have that, it seems like it wouldn't be terribly difficult to expand based on future contracts.

If a random company decides to produce parts via AM, it would take a lot more resources internally than to contract out to Sigma. Sigma could say "we'll be ready to begin production of your parts in a year", order 10 printers and lease more space as necessary.
