It seems pretty clear the shorts are not actively trying to cover nor are they trying to drive the price down, at least from current prices. So what are to assume? I've been mulling over the idea that Sphere has an understanding with the shorts that the shorts won't try to take the price down further and neither will Sphere try to destroy them, with the understanding shorts will cover and be out, perhaps within a certain time frame. That would explain Sphere's seeming reluctance to pursue the shorts destruction any further.
