I'm not gonna get snagged, however, the post you mention was when they were attempting (unsuccessfully as I predicted) to drill long-holes with the jack-leg drill. The larger drill holes by the contractor allowed larger samples of cuttings, and then they re-entered the hole with a 90 degree water nozzle and enlarged the hole and caught the washed gravel in buckets. They found "visible gold". Not much gold, just a tiny amount of "visible gold".
