Yes but moderators should not be removing posts that are not attacking anyone and simply counter to their investment views, and using an 'attack' as the excuse to effectively censor a board.

That assumes facts not in evidence. And, the standard for removing posts is not "posts that are not attacking anyone" but rather whether the "post contains any content that violates the TOS."

The problem here is that you trying to redefine what the rules should be. The website defines the rules. The role of posters (and moderators) is to abide by the rules, not to define them.

A moderator is no different than a judge in a court. Judges have personal opinions and biases. They get to vote on election day. They get to pick and choose which televisions shows they watch, how they invest their money, which products they buy, etc. And, they set those biases aside when doing their jobs, because the rules (laws) they enforce are neutral toward the matters they are adjudicating. To expect judges and board moderators to not have personal views (biases) is, quite frankly, ridiculous. There are over four thousand user-moderators here. Click! Turn off your bias, mods! Yeah, right. We have complete transparency here and an appeal process; users can see what posts have been removed, and have ample recourse to seek administrative review for posts (that did not contain any TOS violations) that they believe were improperly removed.

What we do not have is mob rule where a few miscreants can bully their way into suppressing the speech of those with whom they disagree. The answer to disagreeable speech is more speech, not suppression of the views of those with whom one disagrees. We favor inclusion over exclusion but we have a low tolerance for those who believe the other "side" doesn't have as much standing to participate as they do and takes matters into their own hands. They learn rather quickly that they don't carry a big enough stick.

Yeah, it seemed like a good idea at the time... until you find yourself in the drunk tank for disorderly conduct.
