Techies might pay a higher price if that's the going rate, but they're not going to toss $75 out the window. Everybody comparison-shops everything these days, and techies, who are never more than 15 seconds away from the internet, are especially brutal about it.

Never mind that any techie who pays $299 for this instead of buying the nVidia Shield Tablet, with its much superior Tegra K1 and a beautiful display, is an idiot. That chip actually can do HEVC. Hey! It's running Android Kit Kat!
