If you were mining gold would you spend your time trying to melt it down into different sizes and shapes or just make everything in one simple fashion? The weights are different, and more than that you can clearly tell all three bricks are different sizes.

If I was mowing a lawn I wouldn't cut it into different shapes and sizes… I'd mow the damn thing.
