If that were the case, I bet sometime before/during/after the 'meeting' - one of us would no doubt be cornered, and asked the question [in my best $TGGI Chris Clarke voice]:

"Psssst! Hey...can you loan me $20 - just until I get this deal closed... You know I'm good for it!"
