Does anyone really know yet what the REIT will pay out?
I saw this said "However, while nice in theory, this transaction is essentially a backdoor dividend reduction. The new Windstream REIT is estimated to pay an annual dividend of $0.60 per share, while the "legacy" Windstream is slated to have an annual dividend of only $0.10 per share. In essence, the two companies combined will pay $0.70 per share in dividends, 30% below Windstream's current dividend of $1.00 per share. At current prices, Windstream would yield 6%."
If the REIT pays .75 and the "legacy" WIN pays .25,
then its still $1, right?
