Kate DuBose Tomassi, 04.03.06, 5:06 PM ET
Circuit City Stores
In a preview of Circuit City Stores' fiscal fourth-quarter earnings report scheduled for April 12, Standard & Poor's Equity Research analyst Amy Glynn raised the earnings-per-share estimate on the electronics retailer to 72 cents from 63 cents.
The analyst cited "continued demand strength for consumer electronic products, such as flat-panel TVs and MP3 players, and a fairly benign promotional environment."
In addition, Glynn said she sees gross margins "improving modestly" quarter-over-quarter, and expects that higher sales volume will leverage selling, general and administrative expenses.
The analyst maintained a "hold" opinion and 12-month price target of $24 on Circuit City (nyse: CC - news - people ) shares.
