I think the 'public spectacle' aspect is what's overblown here. Who gives a rats ass what a couple of hundred people out of 350 million say, especially when one of them is Trump.

I do have a question though, How did Dr. Kent Brantly and Nancy Writebol obtain the virus? I would think they used every precaution possible and when you consider the incubation period is anywhere from 2 to 21 days they certainly knew what they were dealing with?
