A buyback of shares? Share buy backs are executed most often by very very established companies with long track history of profitable q y over y. A share buy back with what money? Why would an r and d co invest very limited cap into share buy backs...

A reverse stock split is definitely a possibility but now is definitely not the time nor in nrar future. Better all goes well wait tkll shares are very high value in low dollar range then execute.
