1. the increase is to protect the company from a possible hostile takeover with the share price where it is. And, they will be holding onto them for future funding, not going directly into the market. It's a smart move. Also, it doesn't go into effect for at least 20 days.

2.the par value of a stock is usually zero. they had a $10 par value so this reduction to .01 is just to fix that to save them money on taxes. They have to pay taxes as if the value is $10 so of course reducing that is also a smart move. I wonder why they just didn't reduce it to zero. I think par values are just for things like bonds.

3. i know nothing about the company stock plan. But it seems like they are organizing themselves. This all sounds good to me actually. I hope they're doing something amazing with the funding.
