U.S. stock futures fell Thursday, amid steep losses in European markets and corporate news from Akamai Technologies Inc.(AKAM) and Whole Foods Market Inc.(WFM)
About 90 minutes ahead of the open, Dow Jones Industrial Average futures fell 85 points, or 0.5%, to 16736.
S&P 500 index futures shed 11 points, or 0.5%, to 1955 and Nasdaq-100 futures dropped 25 points, or 0.6%, to 3944. Changes in stock futures don't always accurately predict stock moves after the opening bell.
