A little history on VA's former Repub AG in McDonnell's admin, who in April said all charged should be dropped against the former VA Repub governor and his wife, since April has been very quiet...Former Repub AG Ken Cuccinelli, who lost the governor race last Nov to Dem Terry McAuliffe, also received gifts from the VA CEO the McDonnells seemed to use as a piggy bank, albeit not as much as the McDonnells...Cuccinelli also did not report Williams' generosity until the FBI came knocking - then he revised his financial reports. Bob McDonnell as governor was in a better position to "help" Jonnie Williams' company than his AG.
I expect Cuccinelli will be called to testify...Given both McDonnell and Cuccinelli are lawyers, you'd think they would know better, but I guess greed crosses all profession.
It'll be interesting when the McDonnells' attorneys cross-examine CEO Jonnie Williams - both he and his exec administrator received immunity from the feds to testify against the McDonnells and they'd love to discredit Williams and his exec admin, who as a Notary Public signed for Williams and then notarized the papers.
