This is the first I've heard that a threat was even a possibility.

I've always seen Arcam to be more of a potential asset to Sigma. Mark Cola indicated that, although they've been primarily focused (hehe...I said focused) on laser technology, there was no reason that PrintRite shouldn't be compatible with EBM. I believe it will be implemented in both laser and EBM systems in the future.

DLMS and EBM each have their strengths and weaknesses and are used in different applications. As far as Sigma goes...both laser and EBM technologies should be compatible.

Note that I am also long Arcam.
