Futures slip as earnings are digested

Weighing on stocks early is a 10% decline in Amazon post-earnings, along with sizable retreats from Visa and Starbucks following their quarterly results. Nasdaq 100 (NASDAQ:QQQ) futures are lower by 0.3% and S&P 500 (NYSEARCA:SPY) by 0.15%.
Europe is off about half of one percent and the Nikkei and Shanghai both gained more than 1% overnight.
The 10-year Treasury yield is flat at 2.51% and gold is higher by $4 per ounce to $1,297.
