The proof is that Walmart does not stick EAS tags on the merchandise they sell. It is the vendor's responsible to tag their products before being shipped to a Walmart distribution center.
The proof is the only functions Walmart has to perform are the RFID reading of the pallets, the scanners for checkout, and the alarm readers at the exits. Now where was it announced KMAG landed a contract to sell the hardware to Walmart? Can you find any announced contract between Walmart and KMAG?
