A little good news would, in normal circumstances, run the conventional gamut: improved yield from a test run, a financing deal, a working partnership with a reckonable tech firm, or maybe even news of a bidding war for CTDT, things like that.

However in the case of CTDT here, "a little good news" would be any sign that anyone is making any progress at all merely toward any of the above-mentioned goals.
