My take on it is that BAT had an agreement not to pursue any further ownership of RJR until the agreement runs out the end of this month. They currently own 49% or so and most think they will become the majority owners of RJR immediately after the agreement concludes. BAT (per my understanding) does no selling in the USA except thru their RJR ownership and once they become the formal owners they could change what they want RJR to market and that change may include some XXII leaf in the near future (this is a question, not a statement).

Hard to say exactly what is going to happen, but it could be a catalyst for a shakeup in the USA cigarette market and XXII could be involved via our IP sharing with BAT.

Couple this with the expected Botanical Genetics update around the end of the month and maybe we start getting some news flowing, especially if the MSA happened to come about (but not holding my breath).

This is my take, not saying it is correct.
