If he did lie, wouldn't ETEK want to publish something to explain what happened? That could range anywhere between "John lied to us and we are going after him," to "There were some unexpected delays and we will publish a PR as soon as we hear any news regarding the 10k."

But SOMETHING is better than nothing, especially when there is a blatant lie sitting on the table. And the truth is that SOMEONE lied here. Whether it was Steve/ETEK or John Malone. A lie was published and should be accounted for - not just forgotten by everyone who wishes the 10k would be published already.
