According to FINRA, of today's 115,285 shares traded 93,485 were shorted. This is typical of how the trading has been going lately.

Long time investors are expecting much higher prices and are holding their shares.


This shows the two perspectives quite clearly.

As you mentioned, long-time investors are expecting higher prices (or are unwilling to sell at a loss) and are holding their shares.

The shorting indicates that there are a significant number of players who are expecting lower prices in the short term.
