I think the link between Thompson is a nice find

Certainly Mark Cola's expertise includes friction welding
They have a connection via 2011 financials
The graphics is an interesting link (are these common in this field)
Richard Mah mentioned friction welding as a target market
IPQA could refer to the official Sigma version


What i'm missing though is revenue from it if it's being used. Personally i'm putting it into the 'worked together, looks like a fit, we'll get back to you when we have a complete working version' category. Don't get me wrong, i think these links, contacts and partners are invaluable... and with any luck once the technology is verified it means a mass market ready and waiting. I am just not convinced the likes of Thompson are using it yet n a scale deemed worth of revenue
