I don't know how many here follow companies in which their patents are their mainstay regarding future revenues, but here's one to ponder.

If you've ever been to agoracom, try and visit this site under Patriot Scientific.

This is a company which has patents that cover the clock speed of microprocessors. They are currently in the early stages of litigation which involves about 170 companies who are infringing on their patents. One particular patent is that anything over 133 mega-hertz [which has been out for many many years] gives PTSC the right to collect royalities and past dues. Intel, along with others have come forward to pay up and get out of their way. Others have too, but still most and the majority of the 170 are still to come.

Anyone here ever heard of RAMBUS? Oh yeah... Well PTSC isn't another RMBS, but, given that Intel only serves about 1% of the total amount of processors built today, there are still billions to collect from the rest. PTSC is awaiting a final note from a Texas Judge involving J3, as in the three Japanesse companies trying to fight the currenct processor litigation. The patent is clear and clean, as we will soon see, and the rest of the bunch will need to follow suit, pay up, pay royalities for the next 10 years.

At a $1.50, PTSC is worth a serious look. It ran from .08 to $2.40 some-cents, but has now settled in and looks ready to head north again soon. My thoughts here are to buy a few shares, and hold for the next 3 to 5 years. A $5k purchase should give one a nice return witin the next few years, not to mention the future dividends the company is offering and plans to offer.

I've followed this one for about 2 years, made a few bucks, and now back in at these levels to stay awhile.
