I wouldn't say it was debunked. My guess is there might be some backtracking here.

This is from Wohlers & Associates:

A July 1 story on the German news website Wirtschafts Woche reported that GE Aviation intends to order 100 metal systems from EOS. An official announcement is expected during the Farnborough International Airshow later this month. We have since learned that this story is inaccurate. According to GE Aviation, no order has been placed. A vendor has not been selected and the number of systems to be ordered has not been determined.

Wirtschafts Woche is a German Business Weekly, has been around since 1970 and has a readership of over 1.1 million (~300K are executives)

So seems like a reputable news outlet to me. And GE is just saying no order has been placed yet and the vendor has not been selected. Hopefully we will here soon, now that Farnborough is over. But my guess is someone spoke when they shouldn't have. Here's hoping that is the case and EOS is the choice.

Oh, and by the way this Schmuck is still working on the blog.
