Even with whatever the perceived shortcomings of the present BOD might be these days, I would prefer the Team B that I know than a some new over idealized potential replacement that will take much more time to get off the ground than can reasonably be estimated with no assurance of any superior results.

There's so little milage in imagining fixes for the current organizational structure that it just seems like a new way to express disappointment and frustration. By continuing to hold Ariad, shareholders are implicitly voting for the current organization. IF you want to vote against them use the sell button.
Lots of people and institutions have chosen that solution. I think that Ariad at all levels has been chastened by the events of the past year and seem to acting accordingly. With the grandiosity at bay, the company is moving forward. IF anyone thinks that there was better solution for obtaining additional funding than was recently obtained through the convertible debentures, they are just dreaming. Am I happy with the current state of affairs? No. Am I optimistic that better times are in teach within a year? Yes.
