Well, As Has Been Almost Gleefully Pointed Out...

I'd guess Deep Blue doesn't have the resources to move to another area. They have been committed here for more than eight years now. Their boats are here, Capt Billy has moved here, the crew is mostly Dominicans.

The other company has other options, so let them sue. Personally, I don't think suing would sit too well with whoever ends up making the decisions, so why take the chance that suing could cost any future contracts. I mean, look the Punta Cana foundation is a hotel association that brings in more tourist dollars than any other area on this island and they have not received their contract or division. That shows there is something seriously wrong in govt right now.

Will be interesting to see if after serving government AND the minister with a lawsuit, if the other company ever gets another contract....That could end up working in Deep Blue's favor.

Informed investors are aware of the amount of treasure, we have recovered from three wreck sites and what tremendous potential in other confirmed wrecks in our area present. It has been said...."Why would anyone leave treasure to go look for treasure?"

There is still a good relationship with most govt officials, who are well aware of the humanitarian efforts DB has made to the people of the DR, the fact we employee locals in a desparate economy, and spent a lot of money opening a museum with their blessing, which failed because the people weren't as interested in their heritage as the govt thought they were.

Why jeopardize any of that...Let's see how things play out. There are a lot of high-ups solidly in Deep Blues corner, now they just need to get their act together.
