Nanomedicine tox studies take a long, long time.
Penetrating the blood brain barrier just adds complications, costs and at least another year..at a minimum.

Preclinical tox won't be more than 6 months. Probably more likely 3 months as the various tests will be simultaneous, including the dose escalation studies.
