I can understand where hit pieces might help the short sellers, but I'm not really grasping how it is that they help "the big players in this space" who "are absolutely terrified of Clipstream succeeding"

If I write a silly hit piece and it drives the stock price down 50%, how exactly does that help a clipstream competitor, unless of course you think they'd like to drive the price down so they can then buy the company themselves.

Have you heard some rumor of a potential buyout from one of these terrified big players?

As a long time holder of this company (First got in when it was down around 30 cents or so if I recall correctly....didn't sell when it was over 2 bucks...still sort of kick myself for that), who recently increased my position by about double (Coincidently at almost exactly the most recent closing price), I don't mind the silly hit pieces. Although they may have short term effects on market price, they do very very little IMHO to affect the underlying intrinsic value of the company.

Perhaps they give the shorts an opportunity to exit their short position at a profit (or smaller loss), but they also give longs like me further bargain buying opportunities.

Anyway, that's my two cents as a long time lurker, first time poster at iHub.
