Concerning the website:

Many who find it amateurish and laughable may be missing something important.

For seven years I was in radio as an announcer, producer and commercial copywriter; it was before the internet. Then the syndicates came and bought up most of the stations, and I was out of a job as computers took over the radio world. But I'm not here to bellyache about those long lost days; that's not my main focus here.

The point is that in radio and television, as complex as the businesses are, the wisest advertisers operate on the familiar KISS method. Simplicity is always the best way to get your points across and mission accomplished. Thus, if the website is too simple for some, consider that it may have been built that way by pre-design. If a site has too many hearts and flowers, advertisers often don't bother. They want the public to focus on their ads, not the fanciness or magnificence of the website itself.

In short, professionalism often involves keeping things simple; hence the KISS method. And simple as the site may seem, if it sells their product, the advertisers will be there. You can count on it.
