WOOD PELLET PRODUCERS ASK FEDERAL GOVERNMENT FOR HELP

Pellet industry isn’t receiving benefits from the federal government at the same level as producers of ethanol fuels in other parts of the country, such as the Midwest, according to George Soffron, president and CEO of Corinth Wood Pellets

Representatives of Maine’s pellet industry, including three owners of wood pellet companies asked for the USDA’s support in boosting the alternative heating method.

Wood pellet heating with some support from the federal government could “go viral,” according to the owner of a local pellet producer.

Dallas Tonsager, undersecretary for U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development - Tonsager said USDA Rural Development would explore ways to make that happen.“We take the perspective that everything green is good,” he told the pellet industry representatives. “We’re more than anxious to be helpful to what you’re attempting to do.”

"KGET" manufactures and sells wood pellets as an alternative to coal and a waste heat to electricity patented technology. Green Day Technologies Inc. has licensed patented waste heat to electric power generation technology and works as a co-generator when installed on a primary electrical generator unit. It is also powerful enough to serve as a primary energy source. Green Day's subsidiary G-PEL also has pending contracts to sell refuses and biomass derived pellets, which are alternatives to producing electricity instead of the traditional method of burning coal. Second Cycle Recycling subsidiary of "KGET" creates pellets made from recycled paper to be used for cat litter, animal bedding and a variety of other used to be developed.

"KGET" intends to also expand the types of pellets made at SECOND CYCLE RECYCLING ( SCR) by adding wood pellet and hemp pellet manufacturing. With the research capabilities at SCR, management of "KGET" believes that "KGET" will be at the forefront of new product and technology advancements in the pellet industry.
