Larson,

The stocks that you are buying on the exchange now does not benefit the company at all. The money does not go to the company after the company issues stocks. The money that you buy stocks with goes straight to the shareholder who sold you their stock. The only time when money goes to the company is when you buy newly issued stock from the company.
