Funny you should say that as a lady at the video store said I should read the book before seeing the movie.

I almost feel stupid or guilty about not liking this movie. Most people tell me it is great, but I just never connected to the characters or the events-culture. Yet in WATER which I thought would be a snooze also, I loved the cinematography and I actually connected to the main characters.

I believe this confirms my personal theory that movies will evoke different reactions at different times depending on how tired or cynical you feel at the time.
