BLTA "Unique, Competitive Advantage": Direct Non-Stop Flights

Baltia Air Lines, Inc. (the "Company" or "Baltia" or "Baltia Air Lines") is a Part 121 (heavy jet operator) start-up United States airline with Government fitness approval and is currently conducting the FAA Air Carrier Certification. Upon completion of the Air Carrier Certification, Baltia will commence scheduled non-stop service from its Base of Operations at Terminal 4, JFK Int'l Airport in New York to Pulkovo II Int'l Airport of St. Petersburg.

There is currently no non-stop service from JFK to St. Petersburg. Connecting service is provided mainly by foreign carriers. Finnair, Lufthansa and SAS are the leading competitors in the US-Russia market. KLM, British Airways, Air France, Austrian Airlines, and Swiss International also provide service. However, foreign carriers are required to have intermediate stops at transit airports in their respective countries (Helsinki, Frankfurt, Stockholm, Copenhagen, etc.) because they are "third nation" airlines and as such cannot fly directly between the US and Russia (only a US airline as well as a reciprocating Russian airline is eligible to fly nonstop). Delta and two Russian airlines, Aeroflot and Transaero, currently operate between JFK and Moscow. With the exception of the JFK-Moscow route, there exists no non- stop competitive air transportation service on the routes for which Baltia intends to apply.

BLTA Competitive Advantage: NON-STOP DIRECT FLIGHTS


A lot of investors are missing the boat on this. BLTA has a Competitive Advantage that no other airline can possibly match, it is impossible. Usually, a company has a Competitive Advantage because the other companies simply can not compete. However, Baltia's Competitive Advantage is even more lock tight than that, it is simply impossible, they can not even try. It is BLTA's Competitive Advantage, and it is BLTA's Only.


Allow me to provide a personal true story to illustrate this Advantage for Baltia.

Several years ago I booked a flight from Detroit Michigan (close to Willow Run) to Hawaii. The route was not direct, but involved 3 connecting flights. I was not happy with changing planes 3 times, but that is the way it was.


Detroit, MI - Chicago, IL - Denver, CO - San Francisco, CA - Honolulu, HI

A 9 hour Flight turned into 18 hours


Conflicting Flight Schedules
Connecting Flight 1 took off from Detroit Michigan to Chicago Illinois. A distance of 280 miles, flight took about 20 minutes. After this 20 minute flight, I had to wait over 4 hours for the next connecting flight on my route. What do you do in Chicago (with luggage) for 4 hours? Boring, monotonous, frustrating.

Delays and Missed Flights
On return flight there was a long delay in San Francisco. We were told we would miss the next (scheduled) flight in Denver. However, I got off the plane in Denver, literally ran to the next plane (2 gates away) made the plane just as they were closing the boarding gate. The only reason I could do this is because all my luggage was carry on. If I had to go to the luggage carousel to pick up my luggage, I would have missed my connecting flight.

When I finally arrived in Detroit, I waited and waited for the person picking me up, who did not show up. After an hour, I phoned the person. He told me the airline called him and told him I missed the connecting flight in Denver and would be late. I was livid. After traveling for 18 hours, I had to wait another hour for my ride to pick me up. Nightmare.

All this nonsense, aggravation and wasted time could have been avoided with a Non-Stop Direct Flight, NY - St. Petersburg a unique service that BLTA will feature and feature exclusively. A competitive Advantage that no other Airline can possibly match.
