Also - after a R/S there is more room for shares to go DOWN again. Nothing in the firm has changed - except mgmt. changing the outstanding share structure (sometimes they leave authorized shares as the original amount). a PPS that was 10 cents due to a R/S is now $1. More room to fall back to 10 cents - cause nothing has changed in the management of the firm, the prospects of the firm - its just a bad deal for shareholders - better to sell shares prior to R/S and wait for the DUST to settle out and re evaluate the firm's prospects. It is that simple - Maybe sometime I'll write that book that you can study in Accounting 101 class.
