A lot of counties are still dry in my state. What I about to tell you just happened and the issue is now on the November ballot.
Walmart paid people to get signatures on a proposition to let those counties that are still dry become wet. I believe they had to get 80,000 signatures to get it on the ballot. The people now will have a chance to vote their counties wet.
Now the reason why I am bringing this up. Since Walmart paid to get this on the ballot by paying people to collect signatures,
the alcohol distributors have agreed to give them the lowest price. It was written into the proposition that way for them backing each other. Big companies scratching each others backs. Will cause a lot of unhappy small liquor stores if it passes in November. Especially for those stores on a county line road between wet & dry counties.
Who knows what kind of backdoor deals and funding will occur in this business sector.
