On April 23rd 2014 Vision Industries (VIIC) announced they had debuted a law enforcement electric bicycle, the VBike, at the Boston Marathon. Touted as a crowd-control tool at the Homeland Security Expo, held prior to Marathon Monday, a squad of six (6) VBikes were deployed by the Boston Police Department to patrol congested areas and the finish line of the Marathon.
Vision Industries (VIIC) intents to make the VBike available for law enforcement agencies and private security firms across the US. The suggested Retail price for the bike is $2,499.00.

Under the proposal, Vision Industries will be collaborating with the City of Santa Monica's (California) Public Works Division, where the Fuel Cell Electric Refuse Truck will be placed in demonstration service

Intelligent Range Extension is the integration of GPS and Fleet Management Software to build an optimal fuel cell-profile that governs the electric drivetrain, fuel cell and battery management systems. The end result is a zero-emission transportation fleet that optimizes its energy consumption per mile.
