I think the FDA reclassification is a done deal and the discussions they are having are about where to move it to. Alcohol and tobacco were given an exemption and is what, I think, should be done to mj. Schedules II, III, IV and V require a prescription by a medical practitioner, so that takes full legalization of the menu. I believe they will reclassify to schedule III for now. Marinol, which is the synthetic form of tetrahydrocannabinol (thc) is currently in schedule III. If you look at other drugs in this catagory like codeine, anabolic steroids, hydrocodone etc... you realize mj doesn't belong here but since when has anything about the laws and mj made since. It would be a nice step in the right direction though. But this leaves the question of what to do about non medical use? Maybe a schedule III status and a decriminalization law that respects the states decision to proceed has they see fit is the way to go? Whatever they decide is going to be ground breaking news for trtc and the industry as a whole.
imo exemption and full legalization!
