MSFT CEO reorg email to employees

10:53 AM EDT, 07/10/2014 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft (MSFT) CEO Satya Nadella said in an email to employees that the company needs to "hone in" on its unique strategy, which could differ from predecessor Steve Ballmer's "devices and services," the Wall Street Journal reported.
Nadella further said in the email that Microsoft, at its core, is a productivity and platform company "for the mobile-first and cloud-first world."
The newspaper said employees have been asked to draw up strategy plans and that people in the company have been bracing for job or other major strategy changes.
MSFT was near unchanged in recent trade, near the higher end of the 52-week range between $30.84 and $42.29.
